పిల్లారాయాష్టకము! Eight Verses on Lord Ganesha

౧.  కల్లోలిత సరసిని కనిపించదే ప్రతిబింబము
నిలువదు సంక్షుభిత హృదయమున నీ మూర్తి
మదినిండ నిండి నెమ్మది నిమ్ము
పిల్లారాయ ప్రభో! యానాము పుర విభో!

౨. నాసికాత్రయంబకమున నాజూకుగా మొదలై
మరటాంధ్ర సీమల ఏరుల సెలయేరుల కలుపుకు నదిగ మారి
భద్రగిరి రాముని పాద పద్మములకు పాద్యమై
పున్నెములప్రోవై పట్టిస వీరభద్ర స్వామిని చుట్టుముట్టి

అఖండ గౌతమై అన్నపూర్ణయై
గోదావరి లవణాబ్ధిని కౌగలించుదరి నుంటివి
ప్రసన్న వీక్షణముల ప్రపంనుని కావుము
పిల్లారాయ ప్రభో! యానాము పుర విభో!

౩. సిద్ధి బుద్ధి  పతివి నీవు శ్రీవల్లి
దేవసేనాపతి తమ్ముడు; మంచి బుద్ధుల
సిరుల సంపత్తుల నిచ్చి బ్రోతురు మమ్ము
పిల్లారాయ ప్రభో! యానాము పుర విభో!

౪. సంసారపు బండిని లాగు మాకు
బాదిబందల దారిని కాడి భారమయ్యె
కలతల వడిని అలజడిని బాపుము
పిల్లారాయ ప్రభో! యానాము పుర విభో!

౫. విలసిల్లును సదా పూవుల పిందెల కాయల నారికేళ వృక్షము
కళ కళలాడును గృహములు సదా పిల్లలు పాపలు పెద్దలతో
తళతళలాడును మీ మోము మామ్ము కాచుతరి భళి! భళి!
పిల్లారాయ ప్రభో! యానాము పుర విభో!

౬. భావముల  వరుసయే మనసు; నిరంతర కామ
భావనయే మన్మథుడు; ప్రియమెప్పుడు మదిని
మెదలుతయే వలపు; తలపుల సదా మీరుండుటయే భక్తి!
పిల్లారాయ ప్రభో! యానాము పుర విభో!

౭. మీరు లేనే లేరని నాస్తికులు, అంతట మీరేనని
ఆస్తికుల తగవులాటలు మొదటినుండీ
శంకిసుమంతయును  లేని నమ్మకము కుదుర్చుడు
పిల్లారాయ ప్రభో! యానాము పుర విభో!

౮. జగమంతయును అల్లకల్లోలములు హాహాకారములగ నున్నది
దేవుని పేరనే జరుగుచున్నవి దారుణములు
మతముల మతులు సరిచేసి మమ్ము కాచుడు
పిల్లారాయ ప్రభో! యానాము పుర విభో!

తటిల్లతా సమరుచి గాత్రి తల్లి పార్వతి
అనుంగుపట్టీ! అనుగ్రహము చూపి
వ్రాయించితివి నాచేత నీ అష్టకమును
వ్యాసమౌని మేటి వ్రాయసకాడా!
ప్రీతితో గొని దీనిని బ్రోవుము నన్ను
సమస్తవిద్యా ప్రదాతా! సకల విఘ్నాన్తకా!
ఈశ్వరకుమారా! ఐశ్వర్య కారకా!
పిల్లారాయ ప్రభో! యానాము పుర విభో!

EIGHT VERSES ON LORD GANESHA

I). No reflection is possible in a lake which is not still

Your form can not stay in a disturbed mind

Fill fully in my mind and give me peace of mind

Pillayaya! The Presiding Deity of Yanam town!

II). Originating calmly in a tiny way in Nasika Trayambaka

Receiving waters from tributaries and rivulets through Maharashtra and Andhra,

Becoming water to cleanse the Divine Feet of Lord Ramachandra at Bhadradri,

Encircling Lord Veerabhadreswara at Pattiseema,

Turning into a huge river and Annapurna at Rajahmundry,

Then proceeding from there, at a spot, 

just before Godavari merges her Lord, the Sea 

You reside, Grace me with your benevolent looks

III). You, the Lord of Fulfillments and Intellect

Your brother, Lord of Sri Valli and the Divine Army, Devasena

Will be blessing us with good intentions, riches and wealth

IV). For us, the Cart of family responsibilities

Becomes unmanageable in the muddy path of pulls and pushes

And are not able to bear the weight of the yoke

Make our minds disturbance-free and fill them with calmness

V).The coconut tree flourishes continuous with lovely and simultaneous

Presence of leaves, flowers, tiny, tender, and ripe nuts;

And the homes blissful with infants, babies, kids, youth and elders;

And Your face lights up when you Grace us

VI). Continuous flow of thoughts is mind,

Constant presence of sensuous feelings is cupid,

The beloved always recollected in thoughts is love

Your continuous presence in our thoughts and feelings is devotion,

VII). Atheists vouch for your non-existence

And the believers see you everywhere every second

These quarrels exist always

Give me absolute faith in You without even an iota of doubt

VIII). All the globe is presently in turmoil

Innocent human-beings are massacred in the name of religions

Repair the minds of the religions and save us

Pillaraya! The Presiding Deity of Yanam town!

Oh! Beloved Son of Parvathi, whose body is effulgent lightning,

Gracing me you made me compose these verses

Oh! Divine Scribe for Sage Vyasa!

Accept and receive them with love and affection

And bless me Giver of all Knowledge!

Remover of all Obstacles! Illustrious Son of Lord Siva!
