జననికి వినతి 

లేదు లేదు

సుందరాంగనల కూడి సోలాలని

ఆట పాటల తేలియాడాలని

లేదు లేదు విజ్ఞానఖనిగ మారాలని

విన్నాణపు విన్యాసాలు చేయాలని

లేదు లేదు
సంగీతాబ్ధి నోలలాడాలని

కవితా పరిమళాలు వెదజల్లాలని

లేదు లేదు

గద్దెలనెక్కాలని

చొర విద్యల గణుతికెక్కాలని

లేదు లేదు

ఆస్తి నాస్తి చర్చల గడపాలని

చర్విత చర్వణ ప్రసంగాలు చేయాలని

వీలయితే

నీ కరుణ

నీ ప్రజకు

బాసటగా నిలవాలని
వారి నుదుటి ముడుతల పోగొట్టాలని

వారి హృదయాహ్లాద చంద్రికలు

నీపై ప్రసరింప చేయాలని

నిను పులకింప చేయాలని

ఈ నీ పుత్రుని ఆకాంక్ష

కరుణించు తల్లీ!

కారుణ్య వల్లీ! 

THE PRAYER TO THE DIVINE MOTHER

I am not desirous of
Frolicking with beautiful women and be blissful

In amorous acts with them;

Or becoming a mine of knowledge
And engaged in intellectual exercises;

Or Swimming in the ocean of music or
Composing delightful poetry and spread its
Pleasantness in every aesthetic heart;

Or occupying the seats of power
And be an expert in acts of deception and corruption;

Or engaging in futile arguments about the
Existence or otherwise of God
And repeatedly lecture on them

But if possible
By your compassion
I desire to be a support

To the deprived and remove wrinkles from their foreheads
And spread joy in your heart
And make you delightful;

This is my ambition
Shower your compassion and bless me
My divine mother!
The Embodiment of Love and Compassion!
