Cinema

Indian films are celebrating toilets, pad, etc. sanitary items to the standing ovation of Indian cinegoers.

Indian cinema is either completely commercial with song and dance sequences together with fighting scenes or art cinema full of dryness. Now a days sanitary items entered the scene. Let us see what future Indian cinema will be and future of Indian cinema will be.

Movies are made for money making. Commercial cinema cannot afford it. Cinema is for entertainment; not for educating, as opined by Chakrapani the famous Telugu cine stalwart.

ట్విట్టర్ - ఫాలోయింగ్

ట్విట్టర్ సామాన్యులకు కాదు. సెలిబ్రిటీలకు మాత్రమే. సెలిబ్రిటీలు ఎంత మామూలు పని చేసినా, మాట చెప్పినా, వాళ్ళ దేనికి సంబంధించిన బొమ్మైనా, అది ట్విట్టర్ లో పెట్టడానికి అర్హం.

మామూలు మనుషులు ఎంత అసాధారణమైన పని చేసినా, మాట చెప్పినా, ఎంత అందమైన బొమ్మైనా ట్విట్టర్ లో పెట్టినా ఏ విధమైన ఫాలోయింగ్ ఉండదు.

కాని సెలిబ్రిటీలని బట్టి ట్విట్టర్ పోస్టింగ్స్. ఫాలోయింగ్ వారికే. ఆ పోస్టింగ్స్ ఎంత పేలవమైనవైనా కావచ్చు.

ఇలా సెలిబ్రిటీల భజన చేసే ట్విట్టర్ సామాన్యులకు అందనిది. అతీతమైనది. పృథ్వి పై ఎన్నో వింతలు!

నేను అనేది ఏమీ లేదని, ఉన్నదల్లా గమనిక మాత్రమే అనే ఎఱుకను సతతమూ దృష్టి యందు ఉంచుకోవడమే తత్వానుసరణము. ఉపయోగపడే ఆధ్యాత్మిక చింతన.

Purchasing Wickets

Mr. E. A. S. Prasanna, the famous off-spin bowler has been my favourite cricketer. In those days Mr. Rajubharatan a famous journalist and he was writing in Illustrated Weekly of India of those times, has written in one of his articles that Prasanna purchases wickets; meaning he doesn't mind giving more runs to lure batsmen and commit mistakes and give their wicket. I then liked the phrase "purchasing" wickets.

Now Chahal and Kuldip Yadav are doing the same thing. They are not minding giving fours and sixes to mentally make batsmen inalert and come out of the crease to hit six. In such an attempt the batsmen are mistiming and are caught or missing the ball giving wicket keeper chance to stump out the batsmen. They thus are purchasing wickets effectively like Prasanna.

Nationalized banks are at the mercy of bank managers who need not follow any scruples. No supervision is there. So only so much graft and mismanagement!

It is misfortune of India that persons from entertainment industry are dominating every sphere of life and the citizens-voters are embracing them.

A nation is to be guided by statesmen. Politicians are making jokes and lies pass off as actions to implement their insincere manifestos and poll promises.

Ideology and wisdom should direct the course of the administration and not popularity of the individual from another entertainment or corporate or caste or region specific field.

Writers have lost their voices

It becoming highly impossible and risky even to write a single sentence. Writers have to fight various groups representing various castes, gender, region, religion and the like for even normal things.

Every sentence is offending one of are many of this caste, that gender, this region that community, this religion, that ideology and the like. Writers are left with nothing to write about. There is no free speech. I am not talking Padmavat or murders of writers;
I am writing about ordinary writers.

The agitations for every silly thing are throttling the pens of writers. Writers are also expected to identify the ills in society so that remedies can be invested and implemented. But fanaticism has become a culture and cults are formed around them by vested interests.

Writers lost their voices.
