 కల్పనా సాహిత్యం

కథలు, నవలలను, గద్యమైనా, పద్యమైనా, గేయమైనా, కవితయైనా కల్పనా సాహిత్యమంటారు. ఆ కథ కానీ, నవల గాని నిజముగా జరిగినది కాదు. కల్పించి రాసినది. ప్రస్తుతము కథా, నవలా కల్పనా సాహిత్యాలుఎక్కువ మంది చేత గద్యము లోనే రాయబడుతున్నాయి.

కల్పనా సాహిత్యము కూడా సమాజాన్ని ప్రతిబింబించాలని ఒక వర్గము సాహితీ వేత్తలు, విమర్శకులు, రచయితలూ/రచయిత్రులు అంటారు. సాధారణముగా సమాజములో కనీళ్ళు, కష్టాలు, దోపిడీలు, దౌర్జన్యాలు, ఒకరిని ఒకరు దోచుకోవడాలు, మోసం చేసుకోవడాలు, మోసం చేయడాలు, చంపడాలు, చావడాలు ఎక్కువగా ఉంటాయి. రోజూ దినపత్రికలలో, టీవీల్లో, అంతర్జాల వార్తఆ మాధ్యమాలలో ఈ సమాజాన్నే మనకు చూపిస్తారు. మళ్ళీ కల్పనా సాహిత్యములో కూడా ఈ ధోరణి మాత్రమే ఉండాలని ఎందుకంటారో నాకు తెలియదు.

మనిషికి మానసిక వినోదము, మానసిక వికాసము, సాహిత్యము, ఇతర లలిత కళల వల్ల కలుగుతాయి. ప్రస్తుతము సమాజములో సినిమా అనే మాధ్యమము ద్వారా మనము అందరమూ మానసిక వినోదము పొందుతున్నాము. అలాగే ఐదు+ఐదు జ్ఞానేంద్రియాలకు, కర్మేంద్రియాలకు కావలిసిన వినోదాన్ని రకరకాలుగా పొందుతున్నాము.

మానసిక వికాసము కావాలని మనలో చాలా మందిమీ అనుకోవడము లేదు. చదువు కొంత మానసిక వికాసాన్ని ఇస్తుంది. కానీ మనము చదువు రూపు రేఖలు మార్చేసి, ఒక కాగితము ముక్క తెచ్చిపెట్టే 18-20 ఏళ్ల శ్రమగా, ఖర్చుగా, ఆపై దానికి తగ్గ ప్రతిఫలము వస్తుందో రాదో తెలియకుండా, పట్టించుకోకుండా పిల్లల, మన శ్రమ, ఖర్చులతో పిల్లల జీవితాలతో, మనసులతో, జీవన గమ్యములతో జూదము ఆడుతున్నాము. అంతాతెలిసీ ఏమీ చేయ లేని నిస్సహాయస్థితిలో పడిపోయాము.

పిల్లలకు ఇంగిత జ్ఞానము కూడా నేర్పలేని దుస్థితిలో ఉన్నాము. పంచతంత్రము, నీతి శతకము, హితోపదేశ కథలు, జాతక కథలు, రామాయణ,మహాభారత, మహా భాగవత ఇతిహాసములలో చెప్పే కథలు, మనము మన పిల్లలకు చెప్పడము లేదు.

అలాగే తోటిమనుషులతో ఎలా మెలగాలి, మంచి, మర్యాద అంటే ఏమిటి, జీవితములో విలువలు అంటే ఏమిటి, కుటుంబము అంటే ఏమిటి, కుటుంబములో మన పాత్ర ఏమిటి, స్నేహము అంటే ఏమిటి, అనుబంధములు అంటే ఏమిటి, ఏవి బంధములు; ఈ విషయాల గురించి అస్సలు చెప్పడము లేదు.

మనిషి భాష దగ్గర నుంచి అనుకరణతో నేర్చుకుంటాడు. ప్రవర్తన, చదువు, జీవిత గమ్యాలు ఇవన్నీ అనుకరించే నేర్చుకుంటాడు, నిర్ణయించుకుంటాడు. ఈ సావాకాశాలు మన పిల్లలకి మనము ఇవ్వడము లేడు. దానికి తోడు మన జీవశైలిలు కూడా అభ్యంతరకరంగా, అధ్వాన్నముగా తయారయ్యాయి.

సాహిత్యము ఎక్కడా ఏవిధమైన పాత్ర పోషించకుండా భాషే సరిగ్గా నేర్చుకోకుండా జాగ్రత్త పడుతున్నాము.

ఇదివరకు నిరక్షరాస్యులైనా ఇంగితము బాగా కలిగి జీవితాన్ని నడుపోగల శక్తియుక్తులు ఉండేవి.

దానికి కారణమూ చిన్నప్పటినుంచి ఇంటో మంచి సాహిత్యమును నోటిమాటతో అయినా చెప్పుకోవడము వలన, చెప్పడము వలన.

ఎంతో మంది విద్యాలయములకు వెళ్లేవారు కాదు కానీ తమ జీవన స్థితిని బాగా ఉంచుకో గలిగే వారు. వృత్తి విషయములో నిబద్ద్ధతతో ఉండేవారు.

దీనికంతటికి పుస్తకములద్వారా గాని, పెద్దల మాటల ద్వారా గాని (పెద్దల మాటలు మంచి సాహిత్యము మీద ఆధారపడి ఉండేవి - చద్ది మూటలు అవి), జీవితానికి ఉపయోగమైన వివిధ విషయాలు నేర్చుకునే వారు, పాటించేవారు.

ఇప్పుడంతా విడతీసి, విభజించి "మంచి మాటలని" అంటూ, శత్రుత్వాలు పెంచే మాటలు చెబుతూ, చేతలు చేయిస్తు ఉన్నారు.

దీనికంతటికీ కారణము మన పిల్లలకు సరియైన చదువు అందక పోవడమే.

కల్పనా సాహిత్యము మానసిక వినోదంతో పాటు వికాసము కలిగించాలి.
ఇది మన దేశములో చాన్నాళ్లు జరిగింది. ఎట్టి పరిస్థితులలోను, ఎట్టి
విధముగానైనా విద్వేషములను రగిలించరాదు.

ప్రజల సుఖ శాంతులకు భంగము కలింగించ రాదు. అది సాహితీ స్రష్టలు, మేధావులు, పండితులు తప్పక పట్టించుకుని, పాటించుకోవలసిన విషయము.

ప్రతి కులానికి, మతానికి, ప్రాంతానికి, సిద్ధాంతానికి, ఉపజాతీయత్వానికి ఒకొక్క రకమైన మేధావులు తయారై; విద్వేషములను, శత్రుత్వములను రావణ కాష్ఠముగా ప్రజ్వరిల్లుతూ ఉండేలా చేయడము బాధ్యతా రాహిత్వము.

సరియైన కల్పనా సాహిత్యాల్ని చదవక పోవడము వల్ల మనుషులు మృగాలకి భిన్నముగా ప్రవార్తించలేరు. ప్రవర్తించలేక పోతున్నారు. దాని దుష్ప్రభావాన్ని మనందరమూ అనుభవిస్తున్నాము.

కల్పనా సాహిత్యము చేయగలిగిన సాయము ఎప్పుడైనా, ఏ యుగములోనైనా అమోఘమైనది. మళ్ళీ మనదేశములో కల్పనా సాహిత్యము సమాజానికి మేలు చేసే విధముగా సృష్టించ బడుతుందని నా ఆశ. ప్రార్థన.

మీమాంస

"నేను రాసే కథలలో కథనం ఎక్కువగా ఆత్మాశ్రయంగా ఉంటుంది. అంటే నేను కథని ఉత్తమ పురుషలో నడుపుతాన్నమాట", అని

ఈ మాటలు మాట్లాడుతూ సభికులవైపు చూశాను. అందరి మొహాలు "ఏం మాట్లాడుతున్నారు?" అని అడగాలన్నట్టు వారి కవళికలు తెలిపాయి. సభికులలో ఎక్కువ మంది సాహితీ పిపాసులు, స్రష్టలు, ఉపన్యాసకులు, విమర్శకులు.

కొంచెం తెలుగులో చెప్పండి అని ఒకాయన తిరస్కారంగా అడిగాడు. ఈ మధ్య ఏమీ తెలియకపోవడం, భాష రాకపోవడం, ఒక
హోదా అయింది అనిపించింది. లేకపోతే, నేను భౌతిక శాస్త్రం చదువుకున్న వాణ్ణి. భౌతిక శాస్త్ర ఆచార్యునిగా పదవీవిరమణ చేసిన వాణ్ణి.

నేనెంత, నా తెలుగెంత? అందులో నా ప్రవేశం ఎంత? ఏదో మాధ్యమిక పాఠశాల స్థాయిలో చదువుకున్న పాఠాలు, కావ్యాంశాలు. నా సర్వీసంతా ఆంధ్రేతర ప్రాంతాలలో, ప్రవాసాంధ్రునిగా గడిచిపోయింది.
నేను మాట్లాడే తెలుగు చిన్నప్పుడు స్నేహితులం
అంతా మాట్లాడుకున్న వ్యావహారిక భాష మాత్రమే.

విశ్వనాథ సత్యనారాయణ గారి భాష కాదు. గ్రాంథికం అసలే కాదు. గిడుగు వారి గురించి విన్నాం. వ్యావహారిక భాష విషయంలో ఆయన ఉద్యమం గూర్చి చదివాము. నేను మాట్లాడుతున్న భాష వ్యావహారిక తెలుగు; ఇంకా ఈయన తెలుగులో మాట్లాడమంటాడేమిటి అని బోలెడు ఆశ్చర్య పోయాను. నాకు ఇంతే తెలుగు వచ్చు. కావలిస్తే ఆంగ్లం లో చెబుతానన్నాను.

"I write most of my fiction in First person" అన్నాను.

కాని నా తెలుగుకి ఇంత గౌరవమిచ్చిన ఆయన ఎవరో తెలుసుకోవాలని ఉత్సుకతతో ఆయనను సమీపించాను. ఆయన చరవాణిలో నిమగ్నమై ఉన్నారు. తరువాత ఎవరో చెప్పారు, ఆయన ప్రసిద్ధ పత్రికా రచయిత అని.

తెలుగు భాషలో మాట్లాడుతూంటే తెలుగు భాషలో మాట్లాడండి అనిపించుకున్న నా కొచ్చిన తెలుగు భాషలో మాట్లాడాలో? వద్దో? మీమాంసగా తయారైంది నాకు.

Strange Indian democracy!

If you divide citizens on the basis of religion, that too only on the basis of the word Hindu, it is communalism.

If you divide citizens on the basis of caste, community or region or language, it is not communalism.

It center does not give funds to the state governments, it is denying their constitutional right.

If state governments do not give funds to local bodies as guaranteed by construction it is not constitutional wrong committed by state governments.

Professions and India

In India the only profession that is thriving is business. The ancient vocations agriculture and industry are sub-serving the business aspect of profession.

The noble professions teaching and providing health care are cornered and compromised by private entrepreneurs and the shine of these professions has long gone. Any other profession except doing business is not giving enough money for a decent living and every one is forced to do business with whatever profession one is.

The noblest profession of spiritual teaching has become the most polluted profession.

That is why the society is experiencing so much agony and trouble to meet to ends meet or live a dignified living unless resorted to business of some kind.

Cause for celebration; Economic offenders and "asylum"

Cause for Celebration

Ministers not resigning when courts found them enough "criminal" and "accused" in corruption cases, other type of cases going on in various courts is very bad precedent; which is being indulged by every political party and the chief ministers themselves are fighting corruption, criminal, economic offence cases without resigning with impunity is very ridiculous and is giving very bad name for Indian democracy.

Fraudsters, criminals, offenders of various types even using constitutional positions to avoid legal proceedings is a sad and dangerous reality of Indian political leaders. 

None cares for proprietary and is not at all ashamed that they are in and out of jail. And the voters electing such characters again and again is shameful implementation of democratic process in India. All other elite criminal citizens are faithfully imitating their political peers’ behavior and none from these gangs of offenders not respecting Indian democracy and legal proceedings is very unpleasant commentary on Indian nationals and nation. 

Very advanced from these gangs even claim they are innocent as they won in the people's court by getting elected again cases against them must be withdrawn.

Let us celebrate our fellow voters and the kind of representatives and rulers they elect.

Economic offenders and "asylum"

UK, other European countries, the USA have been welcoming and giving asylum to all kinds of terrorists of many third world developing countries, in the name of human rights' protection. Now many economic offenders and fraudster of many kinds are also getting asylum in the UK again in the name of human rights' protection.

The problem with many western countries is their arrogant feeling that they are champions of human rights' protection and implementation.

This arrogance makes them not able to understand and appreciate the necessities of other countries when criminals commit offences in respective countries and take asylum or reside there fleeing law enforcing agencies and judiciary of that country making fun of that countries' attempt to repatriate financial fraudsters and economic offenders.

UK law and judicial process must also consider the view of governments also and not just caring for non-violation of human rights when they are repatriated to their respective countries where they committed the fraud and feeling "secure" by fleeing their countries and settling in the UK or other western countries.

Malyas, Modis are enjoying the same patronage as criminals, terrorists and other inhuman gangs is a sorry state of affairs prevailing in the UK and other western countries.

The west has been at the receiving end by terrorists and terror organizations only recently, 9/11. Hope the west helps by repatriating criminals of all hues and colors to respective to their respective countries.

Giving refuge and asylum to economic, terror related individuals and gangs unmindful of the severity of their offenses. Wish wisdom prevails UK and the rest of western countries before they become victims of these offenses.

 ఉద్యోగినులు-గృహిణులు

ఉద్యోగాలు చేసే కొందరు ఆడవాళ్ళు, ఇల్లాలిగా కుటుంబాన్ని సాకుతూ, గృహిణిగా అన్ని పనులూ చేస్తూ ఇంటి బాధ్యతలను ప్రేమతో, అభిమానంతో చేస్తూ ఇంటిని స్వర్గసీమ చేసే తోటి ఆడవాళ్ళని ఎందుకో తమతో సమానంగా చూడరు. తాము ఉద్యోగం చేస్తున్నామని, గొప్ప వారిమని అనుకుంటూ తమ తమ కుటుంబాలలో ఉన్న గృహిణులతో సభ్యతారహితంగా ప్రవర్తిస్తారు. ఈ గృహిణులు ఇంటిపని, వంటపని చేసే పనివారు అని గేలి చెయ్యడానికి కూడా వెనుకాడరు.

ఈ తరహా ఉద్యోగినులు తమ తమ ఇళ్ళ నిర్వహణ "డబ్బు పడేసి" పనివారికి అప్పగించి తాము, గృహిణులు మాత్రమే అయిన తమ తోటివారిని అగౌరవంగా చూస్తారు. వాళ్ళ దృష్టిలో గృహిణులు, తమ పనివారు ఒకటే. ఇంతటి అనాగరికత, సంస్కార రాహిత్యమూ ఇలా కొందరు స్త్రీలలో చోటు చేసుకోవడము శోచనీయము.

గృహిణులు ఇంటినీ, పిల్లలను, పెద్దవారిని చూసుకుంటూ కుటుంబాలకు, సంఘానికి చేస్తున్న మహోపకారము‌ ఈ అహంకారులకు, గర్వపోతులకు అర్థము కాదు. గృహిణుల ఈ ఉదాత్తత, త్యాగ స్వభావము, సేవానిరతి ఇటువంటి ఉద్యోగినుల చిన్ని బుర్రలకు విశదము కాదు.

ఇలా ప్రవర్తించే ఉద్యోగినులు తమ కుర్రతనాన్ని, మూర్ఖత్వాన్ని, అవగాహనా రాహిత్యాన్ని, అహంభావాన్ని, ప్రేమరాహిత్యాన్ని బయటపెట్టుకుంటున్నారంతే. వీరికి వారి స్థాయికి మించిన ఔన్నత్యాలు అర్థము కావు.
గృహిణులు భవనములకు పునాది వలె కుటుంబానికి ఆలంబన. చెట్లకు వేళ్ళ వలె కుటుంబానికి గృహిణులు ఆధారం. అంతా. భవంతి అందాన్ని, దాని సౌకర్యాన్ని గురించి మాట్లాడేవారి దృష్టిలో పునాది ఉండదు. అలాగే చెట్ల పచ్చదనాన్ని, ఉపయోగాన్ని, ఉపకారాన్ని గురించి మాట్లాడేవారి దృష్టిలో చెట్ల వేళ్ళు ఉండవు.
కంటికి కనిపించని పునాది, వేళ్ళ పాత్ర మూలమైనది. అలాగే గృహిణుల పాత్ర సంఘానికి మూలమైనది. పునాది, వేళ్ళు లేక భవనాలకి, చెట్లకు ఉనికి మనుగడ లేవు. అలాగే గృహిణులు లేక కుటుంబానికి, సంఘానికి ఉనికి, మనుగడ లేవు.

గృహిణులు లేక కుటుంబం లేదు. కుటుంబాలు లేక సంఘం లేదు. ఈ ఇంగితం తెలియని ఉద్యోగినులు, కుహనా మేధావులు, ఎన్.జి.వో. లు కోకొల్లలుగా ఉన్న నేడు గృహిణులను తక్కువగా చూసి కుటంబానికి, సంఘానికి వారి ఉపకారాన్ని, అవసరాన్ని గమనించక, గమనించడం తెలియక మనం కూర్చున్న కొమ్మని మనమే నరుక్కునే విధంగా ప్రేమతో, స్త్రీ సహజమైన లాలిత్యంతో, అభిమానంతో గృహావసరాలు చూసే, కనిపెట్టే గృహిణుల పాత్రను, ప్రాముఖ్యాన్ని, అవసరాన్ని‌ గ్రహించక గృహినులను లేకుండా చేస్తున్న నేటి నాగరికత, సంస్కృతి మనకు చేసే, చేస్తున్న అపకారాన్ని విజ్ఞులు గుర్తించాలి.

ఏది బానిసత్వం? ఏది సర్వోత్తమం? మనం పరశీలించ వలసిన సమయం ఆసన్నమైనది. పరిణామశీలమైన నాగరికతను, సంస్కృతిని మన ఉనికి, మనుగడలకు అనుగుణంగా‌ మలుచు కోవలసిన తరుణం ఇది. దిగుమతి చేసుకున్న భావాల, సిద్ధాంతాల అవసరం, అపకారం, సాంప్రదాయ పద్ధతుల ఉపకారం బేరీజు వేసుకొని మన ఉనికి, మనుగడలు శాంతిసుఖములతో సాగే దారి నిర్మించవలసిన బాధ్యత మనందరిదీ. మేధావులలో కుహనా తత్త్త్వం ప్రబలి మనకు ఎంతో అపకారం జరుగుతోంది అని గ్రహించవలసిన వర్తమానం ఇది.

సంఘజీవనం ప్రవాహమే అయినా, పరిణామశీలము, మానవ నిర్మితము కూడ.

 నేడు సంఘములో ఆ యా మతములు, సంస్కృతులు, చెప్పిన మంచిని ఆచరించేవారి కన్నా ఆ యా‌ మతముల, సంస్కృతుల గురించి మాట్లాడేవారు, వాదులాడుకునే వారు ఎక్కువ అయ్యారు. అందుకే ఇంత గందరగోళం, గోల, గొడవ.

Democracy of Mobs

When mass hysteria decides rather than wisdom and compassion in a society, such society will face many turmoils led by emotional people than intelligent, intellectual, wise and compassionate people. Intellectualism​ and commonsense remain unused. 

The administration of affairs of nation and regions collapses. Culture and civilisation defined and dictated by bigots and fanatic people leads the society towards middle ages.

Democracy of mobs is neither safe nor advisable.

The Menace of pseudo intellectualism in India

"Supposed Fundamentalism" based on religion, only in relation to Hinduism and ancient Indian culture, is condemned left and right by leftist, rationalistic, atheistic and all kinds of self-styled, self-appointed self-aggrandizing, self-serving and self-promoting "intellectuals", sans commonsense or insight of various aspects of the respective issues, ideas, experiences and cultural and civilized authentication.

Can there be a culture sans religion, language, region, ideology and like ingredients to social and socialogical life?

But none of these "intellectuals" is daring and courageous enough to condemn equally menacingly the fundamentalism based on regional cultures or beliefs or imported ideologies or caste or language affiliations.

Why so? So because this kind of "intellectuals" are not genuine but of pseudo type. A genuine intellectual is sincere and just in his observations and utterances; not at all influenced by caste, region, ideology, language, political or other considerations.

Personal likes or dislikes will not shadow or color the minds of just and sincere people and their understanding. Unfortunately today in India such humane and lovers of human-beings as a whole, are vociferously downed by the earlier mentioned pseudo intellectuals.

The voice of seers who have welfare and well-being of all people, irrespective of their false identities; and are not narrow-minded as our pseudo type confined to a particular caste, region, religion, ideology or such inferior affiliations, is stifled by selfish pseudo intellectuals.

If the voice of just, sincere and all-compassionate knowledgeable persons is subdued, undermined and rendered unheard by the noise generated by hollow and vain voices of negatively influencing pseudo and narrow-minded selfish small individuals, the future of such society or nation is neither bright nor promising.

Quotas

You cannot simultaneously admire MBC, OBC, SC, ST etc., caste politics for votes and build a nation to be proud of in the comity of nations.

Quota stirs are blackmailing politicians at the state and Center level and making politicians insincere and non-caring for development of India as a whole. They are sacrificing good for India immersed in caste vote bank politics. Quotas will make politicians to take a stand which the politicians are not capable of. Politicians want to eat the cake and have it too. 

Indiscriminate, corrupt and inefficient Politicians dominated Indian democracy. They cannot do anything useful and do not allow any fair dealing lest they lose their power.

For, they continuing in power and also bring in their family members, kith and kin into power politics, the politicians are indulging in vote bank politics and showering of freebies at the expense of national financial and economic health. 

Can the nation afford to continue catering to the whims and fancies of current set of selfish people as politicians?

Youth and Role Models

It is not teachers who inspire Indians. It is not scientists who inspire Indians. It is not philosophers who inspire Indians. It is not poets who inspire Indians. It is not writers who inspire Indians.

It is not spirituality and ancient Indian wisdom which inspire Indians. It is none of musicians, sculptors, artists, and other experts in fine-arts and crafts and skills who inspire Indians.

It is not nature which inspires Indians. It is not adventure which inspires.

It is movie stars who inspire Indians. It is sports-persons, who make money of certain games, inspire Indians. It is politicians who inspire Indians. In a bizarre way it is persons who illegally and in corrupt ways amass money are inspiring Indians as many Indians have been already tutored by circumstances to love "progress", "growth", have all comforts of life by hook or crook towards materialism, consumerism and atheistic ways of life.

It is CEOs of various Indian and multi-national corporations who inspire Indians.

It is not bad that above category of individuals inspire Indians. But the culture, civilization, values and sagacity should also inspire Indians; so that the role models from solely money categories do not dominate Indian youth; which is becoming detrimental for these young Indian men and women to become fine and nice human beings. 

This is a serious sociological problem; unless addressed to and remedies taken, becomes a gigantic psychological problem in relation to human relationships, values, and as a whole to the human dignity, humaneness, compassion and nearness and dearness.

Human - beings will become robots or demons in the absence of proper human bonds, connection and communication.

Spirituality

India which boasts about its spirituality and spiritual seers, is now successfully changed into a nation where money making is glorified and celebrated at the expense of spirituality and spirituality is completely neglected and relegated to corner and individuals making money and only money matters are encouraged. It is the greatest irony of our times. Money making is essential but the way it replaced spirituality and cultural and civilized values that many are mocking at spirituality.

Added to this the state-sponsored and or self-created "spiritual" masters are completely changing the face of Indian spirituality and its Grace and Poise. "Spirituality" of a new kind is initiated and commercialized spirituality so arrogantly and with full of disrespect; that seers and sanyasis of the yore will have condemned the commercial spiritual workers of today to no extent and will have seen that such "masters' and "Gurus" are discredited and ridiculed publicly for their lust for money and all material comforts they are "enjoying" and should have shamed them for their lack of any spirituality.

It is really pathetic and worrisome that such a great Indian tradition of spirituality is degraded, deranged, de-dignified, defaced and made so graceless sans poise and stature.
